Market traders raise cash for charity.

Market traders in Aldridge were not lying down on the job despite being in pyjamas to when they raised £855 for Children in Need  with a day of fun.The traders all wore pyjamas for the day and Lisa Roberts, who runs a tattoo studio and organised the event gave a sponsored tattoo to fellow stall holder Neville Khanna.

They combined their money raised with that of Aldridge snooker hall, who did a sponsored snookerathon on the same day.The snooker hall, which is on Rookery Lane, gave players a chance to play for free on their tables for four hours while raising money through sponsorship.

Lisa said "We are absolutely chuffed with the amount we have raised together and hopefully there is still more to come.It was fantastic to do something for charity and I am sure we will do something just as crazy next year
