New Website to help the local unemployed.
A Bloxich - based charity has launched a new web site designed to help local residents access information about finding work.
Based at its purpose built shop on Bloxwich High Street,Work on the Horizon is a "one stop" training and employment initiative for local residents and businesses of the Walsall New Deal for Communities are,covering Bloxwich,East Blakenall and Leamore.
As well as giving information on the services offered by work of the Horizen,the website also provides details about services available from other organisations.

Carers Website is given revamp.
Parents and carers can log on to a newly expanded website for all kinds of childcare information and advice.
The website at www.dudley.gov.uk/earlyyearsandchildcare has been updated with information useful to families,childcare professionals and any one thinking of a career in childcare.
For families,it covers different types of childcare available in the borough as well as leisure activities for children and young people aged from birth to 20..
It includes information about paying for childcare including Nurserey Education Funding entitement,as well as advice and useful contacts for parents of disabled children.
Information is also available about new initiatives including extended schools and childrens centres which aim to provide a community base for children anf their parents and carers.

The site called Walsall Viewfinder went live in January 2008,and as up to date information about past,present and planned consultations.

Local Tenants to have their say !
Each of Walsall Housing Groups 20,000 tenants are being invited about how the social landlord can change its structure and eventually improve residents lives.
Plans were shown that will change 5 housing trusts into local neighbourhood boards which will allow more time to address issues and problems in five areas:-Aldridge and Brownhills,Bloxwich,Darlaston,Central Walsall and Willenhall.
Local boards will include a majority of tenants who will be able to scrutinise and take part in group decision making.
