To be eligible to claim you must be a lone parent who works at least 16 hours or both work 16 hours or more if you are a couple. No one else can be claiming tax credits for the child and you can claim up to September after the childs 15th birthday. If your child is on the bling register or you receive Disability Living Allowance for them it is the September of their 16th birthday.

Anger as bins remain uncollected for weeks .
Rubbish overflows after refuse workers stay away for 21 days.
Rubbish was left uncollected in two Aldridge streets for three weeks, leaving furious residents with over flowing bins throughout the festive season.
Black bin bags full of festive wrapping paper and empty chocolate boxes piled up alongside council wheelie bins outside homes in Dumblederry Lane and Redhouse Lane in Aldridge.
Householders made repeatedcalls to Walsall Councilasking fot their bins to be emptied without any success. In all it was 21 days of frustration for Aldridge Residents who were told collectors would not be collecting because of health and safety grounds.
Brian Guest a removal driver living in Dumblederry Lane said we have been trying to get the bins emptied for weeks but have just been fobbed off by the council.
The road was looking a right unsightly mess and the rubbish has just been piling up.Glenys Sambrook added "I think it is disgusting ".
Tony Truffas a delivery driver added "I think the excuse about the weather was a rubbish one I worked as a postman for 29 years and we could not use that excuse about the weather".
Councillor Rachel Walker cabinet member for environment said "Unfortunately there as been a delay in collections in this area due to the way the Christmas period fell and also the treacherous weather has contributed to delay"

Residents were very angry that they had not seen one of these for 21 days
